The risks of an old, good Constitution: Times of reform and democracy of consensus

Abstract
Based on the Presentation given by the author on October 4, 2018 at the International Constitutional Congress held in the Spanish Senate on the occasion of the Commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of the Spanish Constitution, the article aims at reflecting the meaning and the projection of the Constitution. It equally wants to praise its importance or value and analyse the most important elements which characterise its wording and its path over time. Finally, the article underlines the most relevant aspects that are deemed to be considered in the event of a Constitutional reform.
