Abstract
This work contains a series of reflections on some of the highlights of the Spanish electoral regime for the Congress of Deputies and the Senate, in view of the experience provided by forty years of elections held since 1977. Thus, it begins with the electoral system, with respect to which a positive opinion to the current one is expressed. It does not, however, prevent a proposal to strengthen the stability of the resulting parliamentary majority, through a “prize” to the winning force.
