The Autonomous Communities General Committee and the reform of the Senate
Main Article Content
Abstract
The General Committee of the Autonomous Communities was stablished in the reform of the Standing Orders of the Senate of 1994, in the idea of testing
a future reform of the Senate in which its character of territorial Chamber is enhanced. However, the tendency to a very limited activity of this Committee
during the years of its existence has evidenced the distrust in this way of carrying out the parliamentary control to the Government in territorial matters, which are redirected preferably to the competent Committees in each of the specific areas of interest.
