Abstract
The Constitutional Court in the judgement 56/2022, of April 5, issues, almost three years after the adoption of the Agreements of the Bureau of the Parliament of Catalonia that are challenged by the appellants and the rejection of the Plenary to the designation of Mr. Miquel Iceta i Llorens as a senator representing the Comunidad Autónoma de Cataluña, a pronouncement that gives a new content to the right of the parliamentary groups to propose a candidate to senator to be designated by the Plenary in autonomic parliamentary procedures where the Chamber´s Bureau, with due respect to adequate proportional representation, determines the number of senatorial candidates to be nominated by each parliamentary group out of the total number of senators corresponding to the Comunidad Autónoma. This new content is going to affect the interpretation margin that this governing body of the Chamber has and is going to show, more clearly, the meaning of the plenary act of appointment of senators.
