Abstract

In spite of the word crowdfunding is using in Spanish language only in recent times, is a traditional practice which consists in diverse contributions of general public or institutions in order to achieve many different goals. The present paper try to review the patronage activity of the Legislative Bodies in Spain during History, studying the documents preserved in the Archivo del Congreso de los Diputados. It consider with special attention the initiatives which propose the commemoration of main characters or the erection of public monuments and, moreover, a singular campaign of the Museo del Prado to acquire a table.
