Abstract
Mediante Real Decreto 794/1986, de 22 de abril quedaron disueltos el Congreso de los Diputados y el Senado elegidos el día 22 de octubre de 1982. Asimismo, tal y como prevé la Constitución, se convocaron elecciones generales que se celebraron el 22 de junio de 1986. Una vez constituidas las Cámaras el 15 de julio de 1986, comenzó la III Legislatura de las Cortes Generales españolas tras la aprobación de la Constitución de 1978.
