Abstract
The Hansard was born on the 16th. december 1810. From then on it has reflected in writing the parliamentary debates.
In this article we will focus on the Hansard´s evolution in the last forty years, from the approval of the current Constitution in 1978 to the present.
There are many aspects to highlight: parliamentary activity, internal issues, work organization, access conditions and exams, female presence, co-official languages, new technologies, publicity and transparency, official report and challenges for the future, among others.
