Abstract
The ruling resolves on the constitutionality of Law 19/2022, of September 30, for the recognition of the legal personality of the Mar Menor lagoon. The rule that is the object of challenge and whose constitutionality is declared, supposes a paradigm shift, the protection of the environment that goes from an anthropocentric vision to an ecocentric one, attributing legal personality to the Mar Menor and its basin and conferring rights to exist and evolve naturally, to protection, conservation and restoration among other issues.
